My brother has build a simple speed shooting trainer / timer, which can be used to practice:
1) speed shooting, measuring (with a microphone) the time between 5 shots fired as fast as possible,
2) 25 meter standard pistol,
3) 25 meter sport pistol,
4) Terrain pistol.

The mounted main pcb, in an early version. The speed shooting trainer/ timer is controlled by a 18F1320 PIC Microchip. The design uses now approx. 12 mA with a TL062 op-amp (instead of OPA2134) so you should expect approx. 40 hours working time with a 9V battery. Other enhancements in this version is 99 sek 999 ms before timeout in speed shooting and interrupt controlled time measuring in both speed and time shooting, which results in increased accuracy in both modes. Now in firmware version 14 with these enhancements: 1) In sport shooting mode: "Wait" text changed to "Ready" and "Finished" text changed to "Stop" 2) Program changed so that the speedtimer can measure up to 999 seconds and 999 milliseconds 3) Program changed so that the speedtimer can measure the total time of up to 99 shoots 4) Program changed so that the speedtimer shows the five first time measurements and the last time measurement.
