And now to something completely different!
I attended a "read effective and faster" course on my work and got the idea to build this Read Trainer device together with my brother.
The theory behind the device is to "train" your brain to recognize and read the most common words faster. Statistics on the Danish language show that approx. 75 words count for 50% of the common daily words we use. This means you can "skip" 50% of a text and still read it effectively. The Read Trainer device "flashes" the display with a frequency of 50 to 570 words or sentences pr minute, and you force yourself to use the fastest possible reading speed.
The words are stored in a serial I2C eeprom, from a hex file compiled with a REALbasic program written by my brother.
