Most of the apparatus we build are highly configurable and we use our good old IR datalink and a Windows program to do this job. The IR datalink has served us well, but it's time is slowly running out because it uses a RS232 serial com port and this is lacking on almost all the new PC's one can buy nowadays. It is time to upgrade to newer technology - the USB port! This is easier said than done, but my brother has solved the puzzle and has come out with a new IR datalink online with USB, online because it is controlled from the PC and doesn't need an external power supply. You use the same program for the IR datalink USB standalone and IR datalink USB online, go to the IR datalink control program page and download the program.

We have finally got our case, a Bopla E-420 model, and have finished the apparatus.
