My brother bought a remote for his Nikon SLR camera, and thought that it was possible to improve the functionality and the construction is the result of this idea. This remote operates in two modes:
1) Picture sequence where it will take a picture for example every 10 sec and do this 10 times, very usefull for a time leap.
2) Long exposure where the camera shutter opens and stay open until for example 10 sec has passed, very usefull for taking pictures in the dark of for example stars in the sky.
The construction is build around a 18F1320 PIC from microchip running at 4MHz, and all timing is interrupt controlled ensuring a precise and accurate remote.
Note! Remember to put your camera in the right mode before using the remote.
