After building our two FM transmitters we decided to build a RF amplifier for the FM band to get more power and we choose to copy a 6 Watt microstripline design from the net. We were not satisfied with finished result and decided to replace the fixed capacitors around the pcb inductors with variable capacitors, this is much better and possible to tune to your transmitter frequency.

This is the finished 6 watt RF amplifier placed inside the box, with 2 yellow variable capacitors around the pcb inductors. Tune your exciter to the frequency you want to transmit on, put a suitable bulb on the amplifier output and trim the variable capacitors to max light. The amplifier has to be feed with approximately 300mW to output 6 Watt.
