My brother and I have made a new speaker cable
with 3 x 0.8mm solid 999s silver wires and 3.06mm PTFE insulation. This
gives a 1.5mm2 cable. Most people would call this snake
oil, but the cable is not that expensive compared to what you can buy, we
ended up paying 18 Euro/meter incl. insulation. Here is a link to the shop
